Ottawa Bluesfest tickets go on sale today (Friday April 29th)
Bluesfest tickets go on sale today (Friday April 29th) at 10 a.m. The festival runs from Friday, July 8th to Sunday, July 17, 2005.
This is a great festival! If you have kids who love music, this is the place to go! I don’t think I would suggest a week pass for someone with kids under 10 (a day pass might be a good idea though). For tweens, teens and adults, this is a great way to head out and enjoy some world class talent for a reasonable price. There is something about sitting in a park and listening to great tunes that just makes you feel good, plus it gives you an excuse to hang out with your kids that you will both enjoy. My kids are still young enough that they enjoy anything we listen to as long as it has a beat they can dance to. You may want to review which show to attend with your kids to see what they might like.
Now, here is where I try to do something that makes reading here come in handy. If you or your kids don’t know some of the artists, you can always look at www.Puretracks.com to see if you can get some song samples for some of the bands. Here are some links to albums for some of the artists appearing on the Main Stage:
- Alison Krauss & Union Station
- K-Os (pronounced: chaos)
- Daniel Lanois
- Kid Rock
- Simple Plan
- ZZ Top
- Johnny Winter
