Ottawa Family Fun

As kids grow, it is not only difficult to keep them in shoes that fit, but to keep them on a bike that is the right size as well. I spoke about the great bike path information available from the Canada’s Capital Commision website (as well as other great sites) a little while ago. But this little piece of news is going to benefit kids (1st Kanata Scouts) as well as your pocketbook (so that you can go and buy your poor kids some new shoes). Three for the price of one!

The 1st Kanata Scouts are holding their annual bike exchange. Here are the details from their flyer (pdf format):

Selling your Bike - Friday April 29th - 7PM to 9:30 PM

• Bring your bike to the Mlacak arena on Friday evening April 29th between 7 PM and 9:30PM or on Saturday 8 - 9AM.
• Your bike will be tagged with the price you want for it.
• You will be charged $2 for each item you wish to sell.
• Return on Saturday between 11:30 AM and Noon to either collect your money (less a 15% selling fee) or your bicycle if it didn’t sell

Buying a Bike - Saturday April 30th 9AM - 11AM.

• Come to the Mlacak arena on Saturday morning between 9AM and 11AM.

We accept cash or cheques with ID.
