Remembrance Day 2005
Spend some time with your child and help them understand why Remembrance Day is so important. If you can, head downtown for the ceremony, or check with your local Royal Canadian Legion for information regarding ceremonies in your area. (Ottawa-Area Legions)

If you cannot make it to a local ceremony, you can always tune to CBC to watch the ceremonies as well. Encourage your children to join you in observing two minute of silence in your living room, or any place you may be at 11 o’clock.
Vetrans Affairs Canada has some Remembrance Activities and is a great source of information to share with your children (http://www.vac-acc.gc.ca/youth/sub.cfm?source=activities/activity)
Their coloring pages are a great way to let young children participate.
