Santa Claus Parade Information (2005)
Once again it is time for the Big Guy to make his arrival in Ottawa, Kanata, Orleans, Barrhaven, Stittsville, Kemptville, Gatineau and the rest of the city. This entry will be updated periodically with more information as I get it. Here is what I have so far regarding the Help Santa Toy Parade and other Santa Claus Parades in the area this month.
November 13th
Bayshore Shopping Center (Bayshore Mall)
Santa arrival party.
- Bayshore’s is having an indoor Santa Claus Parade at 11am. The site says that it travels through all three levels ending at Santa’s Castle on the first floor. The parade will feature elves, clowns, mascots, special guests the Doodlebops and of course Santa!
- Shows from 9am - 11am
- The DOODLEBOPS live concert at 1pm (1st level).
Volunteers from the Ottawa Food Bank will be collecting non perishable food and cash donations at main entrances all day.
Saturday, November 19th, 2005
11:00 a.m. Downtown Ottawa
Help Santa Toy Parade
Parade Route: The parade will start at 11 a.m. at Elgin and Laurier, City Hall, head West on Laurier Street, turn South on Bank Street, and finish at Landsdowne Park.
A-Channel will provide live, full-coverage broadcast of the 36th Annual Help Santa Toy Parade on Saturday, November 19th starting at 11am. Check out the site for a great colouring contest as well.

Kanata Santa Claus Parade (Proceeds donated to the Kanata Food Cupboard)
Parade Route: Begins at 10:00 a.m. at Terry Fox Drive and just south of the Sobey’s (Terry Fox and Castlefrank drive) and ends at approximately 12:00 p.m. at the Hazeldean Mall.

11:00 a.m. Barrhaven Lions Santa Claus Parade
Hello,
The Barrhaven Lions Santa Claus Parade will run tomorrow, November 19, starting at 11:00. The parade will line up on Claridge Street between Berrigan and Beatrice, make its way east on Berrigan and north on Beatrice before heading west on Longfields past Mother Theresa High School. (At least, that’s what the release I read says.)
Hope it’s not too late to get the info out to people! It’s a lovely little neighbourhood parade.

Parade Route: St-Joseph Blvd. in Orleans from Youville Dr. to Prestone Dr. as the Parade route.

Stittsville Village Association
7:00 p.m. Stittsville Main Street
Stittsville Parade of Lights. Staging at 18:00, at the Ottawa Carleton School Board parking lot, across from the Indpendent Grocers, just as you come into Stittsville from Hazeldean Road. We ask that no one walk, floats or bikes to have lights, and music. The parade travels along Stittsville Main Street to Abbott Street, left on Abbott past Village Square and disperses at Sacred Heart High School. As soon as the parade, with Santa passes the park, the lighting of the park ceremonies takes place, there will be hot chocolate, etc. also.

I found this on internet about the Stittsville Parade of lights:
December 3rd, 19:00: Stittsville Parade of Lights.
