Flu Shot information
November is Flu awareness month. Ok, maybe not, but it might as well be. The season will soon be upon us, so you might as well do what you can to avoid your holiday season either spreading or catching the latest bug to hit the nation.
The City of Ottawa has a list of all of the upcoming Flu Shot Clinics in town (my kids just love getting their shots…. almost as much as I enjoy watching Barney or The Wiggles over and over and over … and over again!) The list even has maps to the clinic locations to help you find your way there.
Download the Influenza Immunization Consent Form before going and save yourself even more time.
If you can’t make it to a clinic, there are several walk-in clinics available for you to get your flu-shot for free. Here is a listing of walk-in clincs in town (courtesy of intraspec.ca). You might want to call ahead as some may have special times allocated for this. Or for more information, call Ottawa Public Health Information at 613-580-6744, ext. 24179 or toll free at 1-866-426-8885.

Don’t have a doctor… I also came across this potentially useful service called the Doctor Search supplied by the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario. It is supposed to help you find a doctor in your area.
