Ottawa Family Fun

If your kids are young, you might want to have a look at what the malls are doing for Halloween. It is still nice to take the kids out for some good old fashioned Trick or Treating in the neighbourhood, but the malls are offering some great alternatives that your kids may end up enjoying more. I visited some of the major mall’s websites and summarized what I found for easy reference. Have fun!

Hazeldean Mall’s HOUNDED HOWL-OWE’EN: Free TRICK OR TREATING for kids 5 and under from 9 am to 4 pm at stores throughout the mall. (Donations for the Kanata Food Bank are welcomed - There will also be silent auctions to help support the food bank.)
Evening activities @ Hazeldean:
- Costume Contest (enter by 5:15 pm)
- Costume Parade @ 5:30 pm
- HOUNDED HOUSE from 5pm to 9pm. This is a dog-themed haunted house designed for the whole family.
- 6:30 pm - Free Mad Science Halloween Show at 6:30 p.m.
- Mad Science Activity Centre after the show from from 7:30 to 8:30.

Bayshore Shopping Centre
- 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm - Trick or Treating at Bayshore Shopping Centre in a safe, warm environment for your ghouls and goblins to fill their goodie bags with treats!
- Between 3pm and 9pm, have the kids pose in front of their Halloween set-up on the first level and receive a free 8×10 photo from Moto Photo!

Place d’Oreleans
- 10 am - Kids halloween movies (in Laura Court)
- 10 am - 3 pm - Kids crafts and free face painting
- 11 am - Trick or Treat Trek (following a special spooky map for the kids to follow). Maps are available at Guest Services for kids to visit later in the day.

St. Laurent Shopping Centre
